A tweet

'you fucking piss me off. i don't care how many fucking exams you have. go fuck off out of here.'

That... I don't know, it annoys me? I mean, Okay, you're pissed off with someone, but they've got just as much right to moan about exams as you do?

Please shut up. This is one reason I hate having two twitter accounts. One has ALL nice people, the other has a lot of immature stupid people.

FranKo

Okay, this is starting to really piss me off guys. (none of you are responsible so I'm not sure why I said that).

It's really, rather annoying when people come along and comment on something FranKo say with 'come to [insert name of place]'. Well, yes, I get it, they want them over there in America, France, Spain, all that lot, but try and keep comments relevant to the original post?

I know nobody will pay any attention to this, but it just bugs me, ya know?

Elliot Minor and Coventry

So, yesterday I saw Elliot Minor at the Kasbah club in Coventry.

Day started out slow, yes, slow, I woke up and lazed about for a bit, then realised I had an hour to get clean and pack. speed packed and bathed, yes, speed bathed, fifteen minutes. Left the house on time (early, actually), got into Croydon and had time to get myself a milkshake before I had to go and pick up my train tickets.

So, I got the first train. East Croydon to Watford Junction. That journey was just over an hour, I spent the first twenty minutes working on my NaNo story (I'm waaaaaay behind, but I don't really care anymore), and then decided to read. At the same time I decided to switch my music and listen to the Eagles for a while. Got in to watford and had to wait only about half an hour or less for my next train. A Virgin train to Coventry. I was sort of scared at first, as they go past they are SO fast. But once I was on the train and it was moving, I was fine.

Got in at Coventry and made my way to the station entrance. Little did I know that the guy following me was Kyle, they guy that took the other ticket off of me! So yeah, eventually we acquanted ourselves with each other and then made our way to The Belgrade Theater, where we waiting for Abbii to appear. While waiting for Abbii, we spoke about various things, got to know each other a bit better, and then Abbii appeared. The chatter continued for a while as we waited for Misha to appear. I was amazed by how tall Misha is... I'm a short arse.

Booked into my hotel room just after two, we then proceeded to go and find something to eat, all four of us. We agreed on KFC and all but Kyle had something. Now I think of it, Kyle didn't eat anything yesterday... Strange lad. So yeah, KFC. Conversation over food was extremely amusing and had anyone listened in, they would have probably been insanely confused by most of it. I know I was XD.

Misha had to leave to go and meet her dad and Small human brother (I now understand why he is called 'small human' XD) and Abbii had to pay for a shirt she needed. so me, Kyle and Abbii headed back to my hotel room for a while, then Kyle walked Abbii to the bus stop and forgot my room number =P. But anyway, he came back (after I text him with the number!) and we spent the next hour or so talking and I showed him Dawn of War and Dawn of War II. Fun stuff. Decided it was time to leave at just before 6, doors opened at '6:30'.

Got into the club, I was worried we'd be ID'd. We weren't =). Sorta ashamed I can't remember the exact set list, but it was good, and Jessica was the second song they played. I was so glad we were as early as we were, even if we did have to wait outside in the rain for over half an hour. 'Cause I got the last proper front row spot! =D
Wasn't all too impressed with their support bands. they WERE good, just 1, not my thing and 2, I couldn't really make out any of the lyrics. However I think I WILL give both Franko and Me Vs. Hero a listen at some point =).

Elliot Minor appeared on stage. My God, ALL the girls screamed, including myself of course *grins*. I was standing in a perfect spot to reach over to the stage, I could have reached out and the bass player, Ed Hetherton coulda grabbed my hand! But I didn't do that (Wish I had though =P). The venue was small, and the support bands had already deafened everyone. ALI WAS WEARING A BOBBLE HAT! He looked so cute =P but I couldn't get a photo =[ wanted one so bad! It was because of Ali's DMing me saying that the Cov show would be small that I decided to go! so Kudos to Ali, thanks man, I had an awesome day and an awesome night too (That means I really enjoyed the show, nothing else XD).

Okay, I stopped there for a good while, sorry, I was buying some more Elliot Minor goodies for myself =) (A hoodie and signed poster)

So the show began, and I SWEAR Alex looked right at me XD, that was the point where I REALLY started to get into the show. They played all but seven of their album tracks, which was totally awesome. I was a little sad that they didn't play Last Call To New York City, which is one of my favourites off of the first album. But they did play my favourite ever, Parallel Worlds. Everyone was singing along to that one, and Running Away. It was no fault of the crowd that not all of us knew the lyrics to the new songs off by heart yet, we tried, and some knew them by heart.

This is just an awesome photo, shame someone got their hand in the way, but that's just how close Alex was =D

I have no idea what order the songs were in, but I know that Alex was the definate front man! kept jumping off the stage and standing on the photographers bum rests and leaning out across the crowd! at one point, RIGHT IN FRONT OF ME!!! (Yes, I squealed) By that point of course he was all sweaty. I've always wondered why girls are always like 'I touched hiiim' but now I understand =P. Think my hand brushed his arse XD (did NOT plan it, I swear!). But he kept doing that and all the girls were grabbing at him, it was a hilarious and awesome sight and experience.

I've already said I'd love to go and see them again, and I'd be more than happy to see them in Coventry again, especially if they're playing at the Kasbah again.

To add to my happiness tonight I've been followed by both @elliotminor AND @danelliotminor on twitter =D
And I've been told I'm still in full fangirl mode =P

Well, it was going to be a proper review, but I got distracted and it failed. Now to go back through and add the photo links.

I think This is my favourite photo, besides the one of Alex right up close. (Well, it's another close one, but that's because of my camera zoom)

Of course, I wrote this yesterday so it was actually Friday I saw 'em, not Saturday =P

a little more NaNo

read on from what I posted the other day

An hour later they’d got no further than outside the station. Mellysa was starting to wonder what was really going on, Ference seemed to know more than he was letting on, and it worried her. She trusted him, but it still worried her.

He could tell she was unsure, and wished he could tell her the whole truth, he knew what was coming, what was going to happen. It scared even him, but he knew that if he told them, they would walk away and leave, never to be seen again.

A sudden movement from Kathi made both Mellysa and Ference jump.
“What are we doing? Where are we going? Who are you?” She was practically screaming at Ference, he looked startled, but really he’d been expecting such an outburst sometime. “And why are we following you?” she added, for good measure.
“We’re trying to avoid being annihilated by that menace from the train. We’re going to Mellysa’s aunt Emma’s. I am Ference, no titles, just Ference, and I have no idea why you’re ‘following’ me” He surprised himself how calm he was being with her, she’d just blown up in his face for seemingly no reason.
She was silent at this response. Mellysa watched, concerned that one or the other of them might blow up even more at the other. She watched as tempers seemed to flare up. Realising the imminent explosion she jumped between them.
“Look, Kathi, we’re all pretty scared, okay? We’re all strangers, practically got thrown together today, just CALM DOWN, or go home, two choices”
Kathi looked at Mellysa, well, glared at her.
“They say the truth hurts, but you’ve no right to blow up like that, really”
Kathi stared at her, opening and closing her mouth a few times as if to start talking. Nothing came out. Eventually she turned around and walked away, back into the station.

Mellysa and Ference stood there for a moment, not quite sure what to do next, then they looked at each other and shrugged.
“So, Fer-” She paused to chuckle at the nickname she seemed to have given him “Where are we going to now?”
They both looked around for a map of the area, Mellysa had no idea where they actually were, even though she’d looked at the sign when they’d got off the train.
After a moment of looking she found a map and whistled low and loud.
“We’ve got a long way to go”
“We do?” Suddenly he was behind her, staring over her shoulder at the map, she found it both comforting and disturbing.
“Yeah, look, we have to get from here, all the way to there” She put one finger on one edge of the map, and the other some way towards the other edge and closer to the top.
“Such is life. Come on, we’d better get moving”

Chapter 5

As they walked along, they started talking, slowly Ference seemed to open up a little. He told her all he knew about the ‘menace’ as he’d come to call it, where he’d seen it before, and how. Most of all, he explained the scaring.

“I first saw this ‘Menace’ about ten years ago, where, would surprise you, and you probably wouldn’t believe me anyway-”
“Try me” She was about ready to believe anything. He looked around at her and smiled, something that seemed to be a rather rare occurrence.
“Another planet, a long way from here”
“You were right, it is a little farfetched”
“But you believe me?”
“To a certain degree”
“You’re the first” He stopped talking, and they walked on in silence for a while
Suddenly, he broke the silence again.
“What made you trust me?”
“I… don’t really know, you just seemed genuine enough on the train, and it didn’t feel right outside. I don’t make a habit of trusting strangers but it seemed the right thing to do” He was silent for a moment.
“So… you weren’t bothered by…” He trailed off, he’d never enjoyed talking about how he’d got the scars.
“I noticed, sure, but that was all. I don’t judge on appearances Fer”
His turn to chuckle at the nickname.
“Nobody’s been daring enough to shorten my name like that”
“My brother, Leo. He’s the only person who can call me anything but Mellysa. He calls me Mellie, rather cute, really”
After a short lapse into silence again, Mellysa spoke again.
“So… what happened? Why the scarring?”
Ference almost shrunk back into his secretive self, but found that he trusted her.

----------- << This isn't a cut off, anything after this needs to be added to the .wps.

"It all started a long time ago" He looked up at the sky, it was close to midnight now, and the sky was clear, realising it was getting cold he glanced at Mellysa.
"Cold?"
"Sorry? oh, yeah, kinda" She was shivering slightly. She was surprised to find a coat being put around her shoulders.
"Don't want you freezing now, do we?"
"Hmm, no, I guess not" The gesture worried her a little, but she WAS cold, so it was appreciated.
"Now, where was I? Oh yes." He returned to staring up at the sky, hands in pockets.

"It didn't all happen at the same time, first it was just someone elses accident happening to me. To clarify all this, I'm sort of one of those people that gets sent places to fight some pretty gruesome battles, not just with people, but on other planets, other enemies. I hate talking about some of them, others just seem like holidays compared. This was one of the bad ones, but the man in front of me tripped and rolled over, so I ended up face to face with this creature. It just sort of, blew up, and knocked me back into the men behind. They patched it up, I was actually too badly hurt from that first encounter. Over the years, more blasts like that one, the slashing and hacking from other foes, it just got worse and worse. I accept what's happened happened for a reason, but I can never find that reason"
Mellysa was silent, she was trying to imagine such horrors and horrendous events. She couldn't, so she just looked up at Ference for a moment, then looked back to the ground as she walked along.
"I'm sorr-"
"No, I asked, I wanted to know, don't be sorry"
