Well, the week got better. I realised I could use my TV as my monitor/screen, so I did, and then I got into using my Ubuntu machine again, which was pretty cool. Then my dad said he'd buy my laptop and I just pay him back, which was nice.
So yeah, and then Friday we went to see The Illegal Eagles, an Eagles tribute band. I was a bit dubious, and it was sad because Mike was supposed to be with us, alas, things occured and that didn't happen, but at least I had an empty seat next to me, I hate sitting next to strangers, creeps me out.
The band were awesome, they played some of my favourite tracks. Waiting In The Weeds, Hole In The World, Love Will Keep Us Alive, just to name a few. The lead singer guy LOOKS like Timothy B Schmit and one of the guitarists SINGS like him. Not as good as the REAL thing, but man they WERE good! I'll definatly go and see them again, they had ME singing along to a lot of the songs =].
OH! But the day before that, the Thursday? Man, I was BRAVE! I actually went to my dentist and had a tooth OUT! I still can't eat properly now, but hey, at least the tooth pain is gone now =)
Saturday and Sunday was MCM Expo.
The Saturday started out... well... here it is.
I got up at about 7 in the morning, went downstairs, did a salt water rinse for where my tooth WAS (As you're supposed to), went back to my room, got dressed in my Romana II costume and went back downstairs for some breakfast. Successfully managed to eat porridge WITHOUT getting ANY down myself, was impressed with that, muchly impressed. Then I left for the station. Go to th station, just in time for my train, only to find I didn't have enough money on my card for my ticket! D=. So I aborted that mission and walked home, got in and my dad called out 'what did you forget?' 'Nothing, I don't have enough money for my ticket'. So him and mum lent me some money for my ticket.
Off I went again, still cursing everyone and everything I possibly could. At this point I'd also borrowed my dads phone so i could call a couple people and tell them I was going to be late.
Anyway, got to the station, got my ticket, got on the train, got to London Bridge, met Callum. Callum was both awesome and annoying. now, I love this guy to bits, I've realised that if I DID have a best friend, he'd take a lot of beating, but I didn't need his lecture at that point in time. But he did give me a hug that was so desperatly needed.
Anyway, got on the tube, got to Excel eventually, then we had to split up, which sucked, I only saw him again for a few minutes MUCH later in the day. I DID sort of do a running hug at that point =P (Yes Mike, I'm sure you'll get one of those, but better, in December, provided I'm not knackered XD).
Met Sam and Emma, they're awesome, they really are. Met Tom Baker too... he was sort of... senile... He didn't recognise the name of the actress that played Romana II... that was odd since he WAS married to her for a while. But anyway, got a photo signed, squealed about it...
Over the whole weekend I guess I spent £35.
Monday I was going to buy a new iPod Nano, but I didn't get paid until Wednesday so I couldn't.
Wednesday me and my mum went up to London to see '9'. Man what an awesome movie that is!
Then Yesterday I had to stay home and wait for the delivery of my awesome new laptop.
Of course, by Tuesday I was fully blocked up with, you guessed it, ConFlu. I has me a cold. But oh well, never mind. Wednesday morning my I woke up, needed a pee, so went downstairs, then I went back to my room, took some pain killers and then set my laptop installing Ubuntu, on the OLD HDD, the one I actually GOT with the laptop all those years ago. I then, of course, took my hat off (yes, I put my hat on, even though I was in my PJ bottoms and the T-shirt I was wearing the day before, when I went downstairs) and went back to sleep, until I was called about an hour and a half later.
Yesterday, woke up, went downstairs, taking Henry with me, and, yes, wearing my hat, even though I was wearing PJ bottoms, T-shirt from Wednesday and dressing gown/bathrobe. I then proceeded to sit and watch the news until 9:15 when there was a Doctor Who/Sarah jane Adventures thing on. Of course, that set the mood for the rest of the day. I went and got my series 2 box set and started watching where I left off. so I only have one episode of series 2 that I haven't seen, now. New laptop was delivered at about 10:30 so I got myself together and went out to buy my new iPod Nano.
Sadly, the Nano doesn't work properly. it starts syncing, then stops and disconnects. Stupid thing, taking it back tomorrow.
So yup, that's been my week.
